Live.....Love.....cake

This is the first Magnolia card that I have made in quite awhile! Was fun to make, and I'm going to enter her in a few challenges!! Midweek Magnolia's (winter blue), Tilda's Town (celebrate), Time For A Magnolia Challenge (something on her head), Marvelous Magnolia Challenge (pretty pearls), and Stamp & Create with Manolia (In love). I made the rolled roses, the pretty paper lace, added die cut leaves, some string, pearls, gauze, distressed all the papers, layered-and raised them, and also used a stencil to add some depth to the background paper. Thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin'a peek! Teresa*

Love....... Scrap Lifting challenge!

                                      Olga Vasil's Card......
This is for the challenge over at Scrap Lifting ( using Olga Vasil's gorgeous card pictured above). I followed her design of the card, and what a gorgeous card it is! I "layered" and distressed the wood look paper on mine, and lifted a couple of the "boards" to add a little dimension to it!! Hope you like it and thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin' a peek! What?

Can you see wire weaved through letters?

This is the first lo I have done in a long, long time!! And, I think I put everything on here but the kitchen sink!! This  is for  a couple challenges! Prima ( BAP January- using sketch provided and 90% Prima), Scrap Around The World ( picture inspiration- loved the sand and the soft colors in the picture & I'm a BIG Tea drinker- how could that image not inspire you, it's gorgeous; and my first time entering, pretty excited!),  and Once Upon A Sketch (using sketch, which was almost identical to Prima, so fun for me). I layered and distressed the paper, I also cut out the butterflies in paper, and filled it with the texture medium. (last picture I held up to light and took pic, you can almost see light through the cut out butterflies, pretty cool effect). I also did some layering behind pics (gauze & lace), added medium for texture about the lo. I added string, paint splatters, cut outs, some Prima elements, including the chipboard letters for title, and if you look close, the brads holding the string to rolled up papers, are Phillips screws! I also weaved wire through the title, if you click on pics they will enlarge hopefully you can see it! I also splattered paint around pic, wanting to get a little on our images............but when I covered them I didn't notice the cover had moved, so I got some on my face, and it looks like I've been in some sort of battle---he-he! Journaling reads........We have gone to the scrapbook convention for years together. We learned pretty quickly - we cannot see it all the first day- so we go for 2 days! It's always awesome, and we spend way too much money!". Hope you like it, and thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin' a peek! Teresa*  (Sorry about so many pics, tried to get the right light to see details!)

Someone Special.......

I don't normally work with purple, but the image for our sketch design over at Assorti, had purple in it so this is what I came up with! I also entered at Scrap Time -(Balloon, airplanes, anything that takes us to the air), and Inspiration For You (hope this is the right translation?)-sketch is above! . I layered and distressed all the papers, added layering with string, cut out stamped branch, and die cut branches! I also added some chipboard stars and airplanes! I then splattered with paint! Thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin' a peek! Teresa*

Merry Christmas

I know........Christmas is over, but I was so inspired by Kszp's card, that I just had to make a tree card! This is perfect for the challenge at City Crafter's challenge (194 - artsy tree), Viva La Vista ( Christmas - New Years ....I think?) . I made the die cut trees, then colored them with my distress inks. I layered them, lifting each layer higher then the last one! I added the soft pretty balls, to emulate snow balls! I also had layered and distressed my background papers, and the white paper is also embossed with circles, snow look! I hope you can see the depth of the trees by the side view, you can click on pics and they will enlarge for closer view! Thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin a peek! Teresa*

I added everything to this but the kitchen sink!! Was so much fun to make..........I haven't scrapped anything since before Christmas, this is my first project! I made  this for Scrap Magic ( using picture inspiration colors and the 2nd detail is a birdcage), Papertake Weekly Challenge (anything goes), Live & Love Crafts Inspiration Challenge (perfume- "Angry Birds" perfume, my bird is not angry!!!). I layered and distressed all the papers, added a stencil with texture medium, made a "ruffle" out of punched paper, made the rolled roses, added a chcked stamp, a seam binding bow, several different die cut leaves, some pearls, a cut out birdcage, and last but not least, a bird in flight! Hope you like it! Click on pics for closer view, you will see the birdhouse!!Thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin'a peek! Teresa*
