My Best Friend's Birthday Card!

This was made for my best friend, Stacey! She's been a true friend through thick and thin! We are alot alike........and sometimes we have actually shocked ourslves, by thinking the same exact thought about something!! We also have very similiar tastes in things! She's a country girl, happy in her jeans and loafers, just being herself, not putting on any airs. Doesn't wear jewlery, or fancy designer clothes, just a down to earth kinda gal!! And I'm that way too! Anyway......made this card for her....added some floral embellie's to it, and distressed it a little. Love the sentiment inside card, so very true! Put my homemade stamp on back! Sure hope she likes it!!

Turn Back Time

This is a lo of my son when he was a little guy! He now has a career and is married, living a wonderful life! Journaling, "Lately I have been thinking about the past.....particularly when the kids were little, and a part of me wishes I could turn back the hands of time and re-live those moments! Travis was such a good boy, snd so quiet.......I long to have those moments with him back again; if only for a short time!" I love those pics of him, they are a few of my favs!! I used the Graphic 45 papers on this, four layers of them........then I tore them "back" and stuck in my pics, and also added some Prima music paper! I used Tim Holtz grundge board for the flourish on top, and the hindges! Used BG letters for title, and made the two little birds! I "REALLY" distressed the papers too!! I was hoping to give the "effect" of turning back pages, as in turning back time, when I pulled back the papers!! Anyway, thanks do much for stoppin' by, and goin' down memory lane with me!!

Gone....

I took this picture today, and did this lo of my "GONE" muffin top!!!! When I semi-retired 3 years ago, this fat roll, muffin top, etc., popped up around my mid-section, and made life a little miserable for me!! I went back to work this last October.......and finally, it's gone!! I can now breathe when I bend over.......life is good!! Used alot of my new Prima flowers on this, and the New My Minds Eye papers, so pretty and bright!! Distressed the papers, made the flourish and title letters! Thanks do much for stoppin' by!!

White Horse

This lo is for this week's song over at "Scrapping to The Music"....the song for this week is "White Horse!" Since I used to barrel race, pole bend, etc. on my horse, thought it was a perfect song for me to join in on the fun!! This picture was taken many, many years ago!! I'm on the left, on a dead run, passing the baton to one of my four team mates!! Those were the good ole' days!! I used graphic 45 papers, love the new lines! I also used the Zva line of Crystals and flowers on this. I really distressed the papers and layered the clocks cut out of one of the papers! thanks so much for takin' a peek!!

Tears Of Joy.....

This is a picture of my two children at my son's wedding! After the ceremony, Tracy went to hug and congratulate her brother, (those two are really close) and the tears came out of no where! I think the photographer captured such a special moment, one they will treasure forever! I made the center flower, the other two are Prima's! I made the hearts, flourish, and title letters! I tucked in ribbon, lace, a charm, a folage vine from florist, and a piece of music paper rolled up and tied! The butterfly is also Prima! I used Pink Paislee paper, and really distressed it too! Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!

I KNOW TRUE LOVE...

This is probaly the most "vintage" lo I've done in a long time! I used Graphic 45 papers, they are so much fun! I also used the Zva crystals and brads on this! This lo is pretty special to me.....journaling reads, " I "DO" know true love.......I experienced it!! We all know love of many kinds, but the true and natural love of a child, is so absolutely precious, words cannot describe it! Last time the kids were here, when they got ready to say good-bye, I got my usual kiss and hug from Tyler, then they got into car. A couple seconds later, he came back, I opened the door, he rushed in and reached for another hug! And just when I didn't think he could squeeze any harder, he did......and he was weeping, he didn't say a thing, but I KNEW...I FELT the LOVE that sweet child had for ME!!!" It's moments like those that make scrapping a speacial joy for me! Now that moment is captured forever! Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!

I cut the flowers out of a new "stitching" line of paper they have now, so much fun, and oh so pretty! Added some lace, did my background scalloped paper, and REALLY distressed the papers, including the pic! Was a fun lo to do, has some very pretty colors I think! Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!

I've had it.......

This is a picture of my grandson's pigmy goat "Jill"! She is such an awesome pet! So darn cute, and she loves the boys, goes where ever they go!! In the pic, she looks like she's "fed up" with the snow, and is looking for greener pastures!! I used almost all Prima products on this! New paper line, which I layered and distressed, all the lace is Prima! I weaved the ivory lace in and out of hearts, which the hearts are made with my Prima stamp! The flourish is a new line of Pearl flourishes from Prima! The cut work is also a Prima paper line! Was fun to do, love to layer and distress papers!! Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!

New Friends!

Got to meet up with some on-line friends from SB at the Scrap Convention in Portland this last friday, and of course we had to take pics!! What was really cool, was the gal that I had asked to take pictures for us, she too is an SB'er!! Small world!!! These gals are from bottom left, Victoria(vawm), me, my daughter(meankitty), and Debbie(paperjunkie)! Top left, Stefany(auntidel'dd), and Ardelle(auntidel!) We had such an awesome visit!! They are such nice gals! And so fun to meet the person whose work you have admired on-line!! We already talked about a get together crop!! That would be so much fun!! On this lo I used all my new Prima goodies I got at convention!! Love that new stitched line, I sometimes sew on my lo's, so this line does it for me!! So very pretty too, love the colors!! Also used the new line of flowers, they remind me of the beach!! Got a bunch of their colored butterflies too!! I distressed the edges of papers and pic, chalked the edges also! Used my exacto knife to cut the flowers on paper and lift them onto pic!! Thanks for stoppin' by!!
