This is for Once Upon A Sketch (first two lines of journaling from song). This was a hard lo to do, been wanting to do one, and this challenge encouraged me to do it! I had to have my best friend, and companion of 17 years put down 3 weeks ago, and it was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Her nickname was "High", so that's where the title came from! (She sold alot "higher" then we wanted to spend, but bought her anyway....hence the nickname High!!) When my mother passed away a few years ago, one of her request's was to have a family friend sing "The Green, green, grass of home" by Johnny Cash, so I thought that would be appropriate for this lo. The picture of High was taken at a show where she won it all!! I love that pic of her! I made it black and white to stand out againest the papers I used, which are some older ones from my stash. I did a bunch of cut work, and distressed all the papers too. Thank you for stoppin' by and takin' a look at High! Teresa*

Blue-green and Holidays!
This is for several challenges! Lovely hAnglar only(holiday), Just Magnolia(holiday), Crafts and Me challenges(blue or green), Scrapbook Sisters(blue), The Pink Elephant Challenge(sewing), Deep Ocean Challenge(light blue). This was a fun little card to make! I did some cut work, I used Webster's Pages to cut out the boat, lighthouse, and fireworks! I colored that cute little image with distress inks, and blended the blue & antique linen to get the backgound color! Added some pearls, did sewing around image, and background paper of card, it's kind of hard to see, but I did sew, added some hand made curled flowers and some leaves made with my Sizzix! Thanks so much for stoppin by and takin'a peek! Teresa*

Song inspired- Beatles "Birthday!"
This is for Magnolia Down Under(inspired by a song), the song I chose was my favorite band The Beatles, the song "Birthday!" I even uploaded the song on my playlist, and if you click on song #5 over to the right side of blog, you will hear "Birthday!" I even added a small picture of the Beatles on the front of card! I made Tilda 3-D, using the technique I learned. I colored her with distress inks, distressed and did sewing on the papers, added some pearls, butterfly and some of my hand made curled flowers, which will be for the challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers, and
Dream Valley Challenge(distressing-first time entering).! Hope you like it, and be sure to listen to the song, it's AWESOME! Thanks for stoppin' by! Teresa*

Simply Magnolia- sketch!
This is my first time entering at Simply Magnolia (sketch). I don't normally use lavender, but decided to give it a try! Had some scraps laying about, and decided to use them on this card! I added gauze to this, some butterflies, pretty little flowers, lace, pearls, and also made some "hinges" for the card! The sketch was my inspiration for those! I distressed all the papers, and colored Tilda with distress inks! Thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin' a peek! Teresa*

Masking.......
Alot of pictures, but tried to capture the softness of this card! This is for
The Official Magnolia Inspiration Blog (masking), The Pink Elephant (butterflies), Craft Us Crazy (anything goes). I used two different stamps in my masking for this challenge! I did lots of layering, lots of distressing, added some gauze, butterflies, ric-rac, made the lace around window frame with my MS punch, and added a bunch of butterflies! I also did some cut work on the front of my card, I love those leaf shapes and finally found somewhere to put them! I also added a bow on the front made out of seam binding, topped with a button! Hope you like it, was alot of fun to make! Thanks for stoppin' by, Teresa*

You + Me = Happy!!!
This is for the challenge #203 over at Color Combos Galore! The colors are so yummy.......dark teal, lighter teal(blue), a smokey grey, and kahki. Colors you would find at the beach or the water! So I used the picture of my two grandson's standing on the bridge at Packwood lake! Love that pic, and had a blast making this lo! Has everything but the kitchen sink on it!!!!!I think I used "12" different papers on this.....that's background papers, and the ones I used for cut outs@@ Did alot of cut work on this, made the pinwheel, added Prima flourish swirls with roses, butterflies, birds, fairies, triangle banner, lace, stemmed vine, ric-rac,string bow, title "banner", and last but not least.....a little rabbit! I distressed all the layers of papers, even distressed the picture. This is also for Paper Playtime(project with water).I sure hope you enjoy it!! Thanks for stoppin' by and takin' a peek! Teresa*
